These are heavy-weight bowls. They are a bit on the shallow side, which is probably ok for pasta, but I am using them for water catchers under my house plants. They are a pretty glossy black and seem to be a nice quality. I can’t speak to microwave usage or heat retention, as I am not using for that purpose, but I can’t imagine these would be problems. Nice bowls.

We love these bowls! Perfect for pasta but I also love filling it with salad. Very durable and the color is so pretty.
