The silicone-type rubber formulation has been very durable in the Korky flap that this replaces. It seems to resist mineral deposits, which can cause problems. The chain is easy to keep tangle-free with a little effort, and it seats tightly at the seal for the flap.If the Korky doesn't seal correctly, it is probably the fault of that seal, which is also called a "seat".They also offer an adjustable style flap, which I have used, should the standard flap either sink too fast or float too long for it to allow for an adequate flush.

This is a quality flapper replacement and easy to install. I buy these because Korky offers them with their special "Chlorazone" rubber which resists chlorine attack on the flapper which can lead to stiffness and leaks. I also like the stainless steel lift chain.
