Product Description

  • Clean and dry surfaces, ensuring one is porous. For stronger adhesion, slightly moisten them before applying a thin adhesive film.

  • Join the parts within 2 minutes of application and press them together for 15-20 minutes for optimal bonding.

  • The shelf life is 12 months when stored unopened in a cool, dry place at temperatures between +41°F and +77°F.

  • Do not use if the temperature is below +41°F. High moisture speeds up curing, and temperatures above +95°F or below 14°F can reduce shelf life.

  • Ensure ventilation, wear protective gear, avoid eating/drinking/smoking while using, wash hands post-application.

I've used a couple of brands of similar polyurethane wood glue in the past and I knew that this application was going to be a challenge. I was hoping to avoid having to disassemble and rebuild the windshield frame on my old wooden boat. It's possible that I didn't thoroughly clean the joints well enough, although I did provide sufficient clamping and curing time. However, with the first bit of stress that the frame experience, the joint just came apart. Also from prior experience, I know it's a good idea to store the bottle upside down if possible so that any moisture in the air inside the bottle will react with the glue at the bottom and not clog the nozzle. In this case, that reaction just caused the glue to leak out from the nozzle. Fortunately I had it sitting over the large piece of butcher paper so nothing was really messed up by the leak. All that is to say that perhaps the packaging for this product could be better, creating a better seal and providing some way to store the product upside down.I do think in the right application, this glue would perform fine. I just haven't had the right chance to use it in a way that it would perform best.

I have a nice workshop and work mostly with wood. Most of the time I'm gluing up boards edge to edge and having a nice glue that expands is nice to fill in any gaps. I grabbed a piece of oak that was laying around and tested it on that. It's comes out a bit runny, just a bit more than I would like, and clear. Since it was runny, I turned the board around to the crack to see if the glue would fill it in. I didn't realize that it was going to turn white ( no big deal ) but then as it expanded, it was even better. The images in the product show the glue going on white. I did not clamp it tight as I wanted to see if it would run into the crack. I left and came back and the glue did a really nice job of filling it all up. This stuff is going to be great for this kind of work.Next up, we have a glazed terra cotta pot that has a crack in it. Since it was $60 and only used for one season I wanted to extend the life of it. Flipping it over, I noticed that the entire bottom was starting to flake so I thought this would be a great experiment. I glued it from the inside of the crack and as it expanded it came all the way through. You can wipe it down or let it harden before cleaning it up, both seem to work well. I used a chisel to clean off the excess from the crack. On the bottom, I used a foam brush to spread it around hoping the glue would harden up the loose bits. I'm happy to say it worked wonders on it and it feels solid again.I've not tested it for edge to edge yet, but just the fact that it works on more things than just wood makes this a great product. Sure, other glues can do the same thing, but this seems to "soak" in much better and hardens up quite nicely. It expands just the right amount without putting too much pressure on something that is not clamped up. This glue rocks.

As a seasoned builder, I've gone through gallons of wood glue throughout my home improvement projects. Early on, proper storage practices were a mystery, leading to countless wasted bottles. But even with experience, choosing the right glue remains crucial. Enter Kraken Bond D4 Fast Drying Wood Glue – a valuable aid for my recent pergola project, earning a perfect 5-star rating.Let's face it, we builders go through a lot of glue. This particular acquisition stemmed from a need that my regular, all-purpose glue couldn't fulfill. Building a patio pergola requires a bond that can withstand the elements – something my general-use glue wouldn't provide. The "fast drying" aspect of this Kraken glue is a revelation. Less time spent clamping translates to faster project completion. Imagine the time saved not having to wait ages for glue to cure before moving on to the next joint. This efficiency is a welcome change for any builder who values productivity. But speed isn't everything – especially for outdoor structures. This Kraken glue boasts waterproof, polyurethane properties, making it the ideal shield against the harsh California elements my pergola will face. Many builders rely solely on mechanical connectors, but experienced woodworkers know the truth: a well-glued joint surpasses the strength of the wood itself. Screws and bolts simply maintain the connection while the glue cures, creating an unyielding bond. Some might scoff at the idea of specialized glues, believing all adhesives are created equal. Having used countless glues over the years, I can confidently say that's a misconception. This year, I discovered the power of a particular Kraken solvent – a testament to their commitment to quality. It completely transformed my approach to removing stubborn adhesives and labels. Now, some who know my meticulous approach to construction might question how I can be so sure the glue, and not just the hardware, is holding the pergola together. A fair point. After all, I carefully installed every screw and bolt. But here's the thing: for a project representing a significant investment, spending a little extra on high-quality glue is a no-brainer, even if the hardware seems sufficient. Peace of mind and a structure that stands the test of time – that's what the Kraken glue delivers. The Kraken Bond D4 Wood Glue is a superstar in my toolbox. Its fast-drying formula, exceptional strength, and weatherproof properties make it an essential choice for outdoor projects. For builders who value quality and lasting results, the Kraken Bond D4 is a perfect 5-star recommendation. It's the glue that ensures your projects go from "well-built" to "built to last."

I'm a chainsaw carver, I've used multiple different glues polyurethane to build carvings. This glue is a clear glue, dries quite fast. Seems to hold. Is it yellow and is the foam hard and durable. Idk, it works.

These wood glue is activated via water. That means it can be used with wet (green wood) and still have a very strong bond. This glue was used for some outdoor chairs I made and the glue is holding very strong. After bond it will foam at the joint ensuring a very tight fit. And the leftover formed glue can be easily sanded away before finishing the peice. I recommend
