Table arrived with the package in rough shape but not bent or dented. A few light scratches that were perfectly acceptable for a work table.

Purchased this prep table for a prep and breakfast bar for my kitchen remodel. I chose this one because it was a heavier 16ga SS, rather than the more common, thinner 18ga. I expected that to mean it would not only stand up to use, but would arrive without the kind of dings and dents that you read about in other reviews. I have to say that this is not a piece of furniture. It is commercial grade; and as such, arrived with some scratches and dings. I was disappointed, but as the overall quality and build were satisfactory, decided to keep it. It works perfectly in my situation. It does not bother me that the bottom shelf is galvanized rather than SS….as I use the shelf for my mixer, pots and cook books. If it were SS, the bottom shelf would get scratched up pretty easily. It is important to know that SS WILL scratch! Minor scratches can be minimized with a fine steel wool and some SS polish.
