It's kind of hard to put in because it's so small, but it's comfortable, doesnt irritate and is practically invisible. The different sizes help accommodate different piercings too. (In the pictures, only the third lobe has it in)

I ordered these because I've got some newer piercings and an unrelated medical situation has come up which may require surgery, and likely will require an MRI. Obviously, I can't have metal piercings in when I get an MRI, so I picked these up to give myself options to keep my piercings open for the few hours to get there and have it done. And if I need to have surgery, there's every likelihood of them needing to do some electrocautery, which again means no metal in the body if avoidable.These inserted easily with my usual taper, and feel pretty secure for being a push-in style; the various lengths are useful when inflammation is a problem, but most of my piercings are 8-10mm. They're easy to remove when I want to replace them with my metal jewelry, too, and reusable so long as I give them a good cleaning with alcohol before putting them away and before use. With 24 different retainers in 4 sizes, this is quite a solid value as well.

this set of acrylic/plastic retainers is a good way to keep your piercings open and less visible than traditional metal jewelry...great for situations where you can't/shouldn't have highly visible piercings (job interview, etc)
