Silver lip. I love the look of the oil-dripped bright colors (almost neon) overlaying the bright silver finish; very sparkly and bright. The links are large enough that complementary charms could be attached. The chain and included jump rings and lobster claws look good together and match each other for quality. I believe that the posting's picture is incorrect in that these are actually 8 millimeters long at the connecting end and 3 millimeters (or so) wide.

I did it read the reviews before purchasing. I used this for permanent jewelry and it turned color and faded quickly.

I already had pliers for jump rings, so I used the lobster clasps and rings included in this listing to make 5 different-length strands with lobster clasps on both ends and assembled them into a body chain to decorate an otherwise kinda bland swim dress (blue is an okay color but it becomes bland at the pool). I haven't tested the chains reaction to chlorine or salt water yet but as long as it doesn't crumble apart some tarnish should be fine with the bright enamel colors to distract from metal discoloration. I also think it might not be very sturdy, but enough jump rings were included for easy repair. US womens size 4-8 here, if that helps you picture how much territory one spool can cover.

This chain is not for professional jewelry making, I would use it for crafty things. Like making fun gifts for friends to wear for an event or as part of a craft project with a group.The chain links feel strong enough to withstand some rubbing against clothing or other surfaces without coming apart. The hearts are a delightful range of vivid colors.There are no flaws or jagged edges on the length of chain I received. It comes coiled on a spool for easy storage and use.
