The air reservoir is just decoration it does not serve a purpose the cap is held in with a cheap wire ring.

Just like some other buyers have stated the package is short two metal sleeves for the eyes. Theres 2 inside the package but you really need 4 so you'll have to go to the Hardware store or Lowes to get 2. With the air I haven't tried yet but I just played with it seeing if it will actually hold air and it felt like it did so ill see. I saw that some reviews were having problems with the air canisters but I guess I'll see if they really work after I get them on. Now I'll just need one more of a rear shock and I should be riding smoothUpdate 12/23/24I tugged on the air canister to see if I could get it loose it came free slowly. Once I removed the air canister I immediately noticed that there is no entry for air to go into these shocks. I always thought air shocks meant when you put air in them they raise up a little bit then lower back down when removing the air. Well if you put air in these it's not gonna do anything because there's no air passage to get into the shock. So all your doing is filling the little canister with air and thats it which don't take much at all. One of the reasons I bought these was because it clearly states air shocks in the title and description. I wanted to be able to adjust the ride with air so I could find my happy medium. Idk I guess I'll put them on and see how they perform and go from there. But most likely I'll probably be returning these shocks and spending a little more to get a true air shock.
