I finally found a pair of quality silk thermal leggings that keep me warm in my jeans without making them too tight. I'm 5'6" and 155 pounds and first bought a size medium but I found I was hiking them up periodically so purchased a second pair in a size small and had the first pair taken in at the waist a few inches. They seemed a little too high-waisted for me but an easy fix was to fold the waistband over and that helped. They do stretch out in the legs while wearing them but I can live with that for the comfort of silk. I noticed a bit of pilling after two washes but since they're under my pants it's not a problem.

The tag says 94% polyester, 6% spandex. I paid for 'SILK' not polyester. Have to contact Lands End then wait till they received item back, then wait till they credit my card. NOT HAPPY

Got these as part of a set for my perpetually cold 92 year-old mama. She's an extra small petite on top, but these extra small bottoms are regular length. At 5'2", she was surprised that they fit her perfectly length-wise.I've given her several pairs of Lands' End silk longies over the years, and she wears them every day as soon as it starts to turn chilly. They last a very long time and she wears the new ones when she goes out and the old ones when she stays home. LOLI'm happy that she's happy. The silk ones keep her the warmest.

I had a pair of LE silk underwear years ago which I loved. However, we moved to the south and didn’t think I would need them. But, temps were colder than I anticipated and wanted to order another pair. Unfortunately the current ones aren’t cuffed to prevent them from riding up so I waited for 2 years to see if cuffed ones would come back. Many others complained about this as well. Finally I gave up and ordered the current ones. And, they are wonderful! I just pull my socks over them and they don’t ride up. Love the wide waist band and it does not roll over as some have commented. They are thin enough fit under my tight jeans, but the silk seems to be strong and of good quality - no snags or runs.

I'm 5'10" and got the 1X. Out of the package they hit just below my calf muscle. After washing in cold water, line dry, they hit mid calf muscle. I wanted them for sleeping and most mornings I wake up with them just below my knee above the calf.They are nice, warm, silky and a nice fit otherwise.

Shrank slightly in length after washing in a bag in cold water on delicate and line dried. Waist measurement remained the same, thank goodness.
