I have been wearing these pants for years and I hope they never stop making them. Although the fabric has changed and it is not as heavy as it used to be, it still feels soft, smooth and cool even in summer. The flat wide fabric covered waistband is comfortable and hits just right, not too high or low. I am 5’6 and a size 8 and the medium slim leg in regular length fits perfectly. I also have the straight leg version in medium. These tend to fade over time so I wash them inside out in cold water with gentle detergent. The only negative about them is no pockets! It’s not a deal breaker because I love them but pockets would make them even better!

These slacks are the most comfortable I’ve ever had for everyday and year-round wear for running errands, going to medical appts, casual social, sporting events, etc. They are particularly excellent for travel. They wear will and never shrink in the wash. I prefer those without pockets as I think they are more flattering. But I own both styles because sometimes I want a pocket for my phone.There are different weights of fabric so warmth isn’t an issue. The fabric quality is consistently excellent. The colors are basic shades every wardrobe needs: Black, navy, gray, moss green, hunter green, etc.In fall-winter I love pairing my mid or high-rise slacks with the matching quarter-zip or full, zip-front jackets. The Star Fish line is built for long term comfort/wear, no wrinkles, and basic wardrobe staples.They are easy to get on and off and perfect for doctors’ appointments, hip shots, and X-rays because: NO ZIPPERS in the slacks.Oh, they are also “forgiving” if you gain a few pounds over the holidays.Bon in Bama

These pants get 5 stars and have for years. From around the house, looking good with a t-shirt, to dress up dinner out with a pretty shirt and accessories. These are my basics in black and colors. I love them. True to size in lovely medium weight cotton and span knit material and in three lengths. Usually buy when they are on sale. No pockets, so sleek fit, as I prefer.

These pants fit well and in a petite are perfect for my 5’2” height and 185 lb weight. I have been wearing these in petite large for several years. I ordered petite XL this time and they fit very well. I like these pants because I can use them for everything. Especially they are classic enough to wear to church with a dressy top. The material washes great and this time I got a forest green which is very rich. These are better quality than the similar knit pants I purchased at Macy’s but a much longer lasting material and do not wrinkle.

First, I was stunned to get these a day earlier than stated on shipping info. So Happy! Happy! on the fast ship. Then I tried them on. I'm just under 5' tall and weigh in at 95 lbs. so I bought the XSmall Petite in Navy hoping they'd fit. I've lost a lot of weight due to cancer so I wanted something that would fit me now with room to grow while still looking good. I was aware these slacks didn't have pockets or zippers, but were more like yoga pants with a classic slack look.I absolutely love them. The fit is great with exactly the room I want for hips (when they come back) and waist. They aren't skin tight (probably not cool on a 70 yo woman), but they fit and feel perfect without bulk or bagginess. Love the material, the solid waist line and the stretch. These are the most comfortable slacks I've tried in years. I definitely plan on buying one or two more pair. The classic slack look will pair well with tees or dress shirts and blouses. Love these pants! I would sure love to see new and brighter colors added in this collection.

Two years ago, i ordered the Petite/Medium slim legs pants and they were perfect. This time they fit fine except I had to have them hemmed shorter by almost 2 inches. They're marked P/M, but they were not short.

I used to buy Land's End pants all the time at retail, when they were located in malls/Sears stores. Back then, everything about the brand was great. Materials, fit, durability, everything.These pants however were a huge disappointment. The cut of the pant is hard to describe, but let's visualize for a moment: If you were to draw a caricature of a woman's "hourglass" shape --tiny waist, BIG hips-- you have the image of how these pants are cut.The waist fits fine, but the hips jut out about 2-3 inches on each side. And look ridiculous.The length is a disaster, too. I often wear petite pants that hit just at the ankle. These are about two inches ABOVE the ankle. And look ridiculous.Granted the pants aren't expensive, but returning is still a hassle. I'll return them anyway, but won't be re-ordering from Land's End online.
