These brushes are as labeled for wax finishes. Do not use them for paint because they will leave brush bristles all over your paint.Does the job and for the right price

Great brush. I have just discovered chalk painting and Heirloom Traditions was out of their brush and I was referred to this brush. I used it yesterday for the first time and it worked very well. No shedding at all.

Works great....holds a lot of chalk paint... has a stinky smell to it after you've washed the paint out of it, but not noticeable unless it's close to your nose.

I like the fact that I used less paint with this brush, however I did find that it shed quite a bit so you have to be diligent with picking out "hairs" while painting.
