I glossed over the gloves in the pictures and the description, so was surprised to find them in the package. They are beefy and I expect them to handle the heat well. The mat fit nicely under my Traeger Pro 780. It does attract dust and dirt, so it will show up right away when you're setting it up. Time will tell if it all averages out after a while. The silicone material is similar to baking sheets. I also use the same material for soldering. Thus, I have confidence now if any hot embers drop on this, they will protect the deck below.Clear twigs/debris before laying down the mat. They will be extremely noticeable under the mat, and will keep it from laying squarely. If you have a wooden deck, one thing you might want to do before putting this down, is pound down any nails that have pushed up. That will prevent the possibility of nails that have pushed up from poking/tearing the mat.

This item is 1/3 the thickness of a piece of thin card board. Kind of like a piece of plastic coated plastic. I am very disappointed. The heat proof gloves look to be well made and have used identical gloves in the past. My opinion is they excellent for use around grills and smokers.

Don't let the pictures and descriptions fool you. The mat is very thin, lightweight and flexible; the middle layer is not a stiffener the way it appears in a picture. Consequently, the edges flip up and over in the slightest wind. There is a trim sewn on the outside that looks nice, but appears to be the same material as the mat I currently use and that fabric shrunk, curling up the edges. Only time will tell if that will happen but I don't have a lot of confidence in it. It is useful, however, as a way to avoid stains on my concrete from drips.

Very nice quality mat and gloves!I wanted something that would keep grease from getting on my concrete pad. This fits the bill.It is very good quality. I just wished that it had edges to hold things in from the sides. (just incase there is a slight incline and things want to roll off).It has a smell too it right out of the package, but since its going outside, I don't care that much. The gloves are very nice quality and match my MEATER gloves. I like havening a 2nd set.

I really like this to keep ashes from marking up the patio. I am less concerned about the fireproof aspect, but I have seen a few small embers hit it and not leave a trace. You can just clean this off with the hose every month or so and keep your outdoor space looking pristine.

This XOHUYD Large 60 x 40 inches Under Grill Mats for Outdoor Grill, is big - I guess I didn't translate the size until I saw it on the deck. The product is silicone over an aramid material (used in fire gloves, etc) which should work to prevent fires, embers burning the deck, spills, etc. Included is a pair of BBQ gloves as well.It fits fine under my grill and covers quite a bit of the surrounding area. Any drips are readily caught and easy to clean. Based on the materials, I am considering using this under my wood burning fire pit. We tend not to use it on the wooden deck, but this product may allow for a new use. More to come on that.Overall, large item, good materials, seems well built, and the price is right in the center of the competitive range. We rate this as a very good buy

I was expecting a thicker mat that would hold its shape while on the ground. This is more like a tarp that you lay on the ground to keep your deck or patio clean. Wind or feet can easily kick up the edges of this mat so you might find it necessary to weigh down or tape down the edges. It's definitely water proof so it would make spills easier to clean. I doubt I will use this as a mat under my grill since I rarely have spills and I more likely will trip over the bunched up edges, but I might use it as a tarp to put over my grill as extra protection when it rains hard.
