The 18 gauge stainless steel bosses are SPUN and then polished to remove the spinning marks before being pre-drilled for attachment to the shield. Boss inner diameter 6 5/8" x 3 7/8" deep

This item is listed as ‎10.2 x 9.45 x 3.27 inches. Bare metal on both sides. Product sent is much smaller 8.2 x 5.6 x 3.25 inches. Black painted on the inside. Wont fit my shield blank.

If your looking for a cheap center boss, this is it. For a quick easy boss solution, these are my go to. I make shields for SCA, and I’ve used many of these. Thick enough to not dent.

GDBF lists their large shield boss as being almost 9 inches in diameter. The shield boss I received was less than 8 inches in diameter.

This is the best center boss I have purchased to date. Most shield bosses don't allow enough room both in diameter and height for guantlets or heavy padded gloves. This is the perfect boss for SCA heavy weapons shields.The product is sturdy and manufactured perfectly. I saw no defects in the metal what-so-ever.The finish is very nice.

Good for fighters with large hands and center-grip shields. Especially if you're wearing gauntlets!
