There is not much you can do to mess up egg shakers. These have a nice tone and are easy to grip. I've played them for a couple of months and they have not fallen apart. All in all, a good purchase. I will mention that the picture is for the gold version that is very, very, very hard to find. What you get is the black version. I'm sure they sound the same and the description does say "Black" so I knew I was not getting the gold. I just mentioned it because others may see the picture and expect to get the same color.

I had seen a musician used these little shakers and had to have one (or in this case two) I use them just for the fun of it.
