I use these 2.5 quart metal buckets for painting. Been using these for 40 years. I don't put paint in them, I put smaller containers of paint in them along with my brush or brushes, if they fit. Or I put my brushes in them. When I am done painting, whether I use oil based or water based paint, I can easily clean the inside of these buckets. Perfect size for most painting projects where I have to climb a ladder. I use a paint container ladder hook with it so I can hang it from the ladder.

Didn't feel like going to the Home Improvement store so I looked on Amazon. This thing is about as thin and flimsy as you can get. After seeing it I'd say it's worth about 3.00 - not 10. I'll keep it since it's here now but would not purchase again.

I use this as a compost bucket in the kitchen and love it. It’s sturdy enough to go back and forth from the house to compost outside everyday.

I ordered several of these to use as bathroom compost tins because the house we moved into came with one (they'd painted it to match, and is the perfect size for tissues and cotton swabs). Two of the four of them I purchased came a bit dented (I just sort of popped them back into place as best as I could) and no one will likely notice since they have compost bags in them, but they're definitely not as sturdy as some functional paint buckets. I will probably order more, & may eventually paint them to match different bathrooms. They're cute and shiny as-is and the measuring marks could prove to be very useful down the road. I may use them as planters eventually, too.

It appears the seller changed the price. I paid $3.29 each, $9.87 for 3 plus $1.29 sales tax and $6.26 shipping for a total of $17.42. Now I'm seeing $7.97 each with free shipping. Anyway we use these buckets for small paint jobs and to replace the 5 qt sand filled buckets stolen from our "Smokers' Outpost Site Saver Cigarette Receptacle" - sold here on amazon as well.These buckets are much shinier compared to the other heavier duty galvanized ones yet still durable. Only downside, they will rust if left outside.
