So my motorcycle ignition lock cylinder broke. A new factory cylinder is almost $300, so I opted to bypass the cylinder and just run this switch as a primary feed to all power circuit on my 1999 Triumph Thunderbird Sport. Works great. Took it off when I found a reasonably priced ignition cylinder.

BROWN AND BLUE are switched continuity, contrary to what the diagram provided says. Black provides power to the LED in the switch. The problem is that it's wired backwards. The light comes on when the switch is off and turns off when the switch is on. What complete and utter moron assembled this? Clearly others are having the same issue. Shame on the manufacturer of this piece of crap. I actually fixed the switch to function as intended. You will have to resolder the wire leads on the switch connections since they aren't hooked up to the right pins. There are 5 pins on the back of the switch. Two of the three wires need to be moved to different pins. For as much time as I spent fixing the manufacturer's issue, I should have just purchased a different product.

make sure yours doesn't have exposed wire under the black sleeve that covers on the back of the switch. Mine stopped working and I pulled that sleeve back and the wire leads were cut way too long and the bare wires were touching and shorting. Simple fix if you know what you're doing but it shouldn't have come that way
