the light is bright enough for what i need it for- brighter when plugged in vs when its using battery power. That being said, the cord is loose so if you jostle the light at all the cord comes out and you need to turn the lights back on. Not a big deal but a little annoying after the 15th time. I'm sure there are better products out there.

I don’t have the best lighting where my piano sits so I wanted to find an extra small light before purchasing a lamp. I like how this is portable…you can easily slip into a travel tote and it stores easily in the piano bench. The light emitted it’s adequate enough to read music, especially since there are 2 ‘lamps’. There is some padding so it won’t scratch the wooden stand.

Although meeting all the a priori written descriptions, I found the unit to emit excessively 'warm' light frequencies to the extent of appearing almost orange and I will be returning it as defective or unacceptable -- in use it distorts the entire experience of anything you might be doing, especially colors, to which I am very discerning.

I use this to illuminate my art workspace when a bit of extra light is needed, and it's incredibly convenient. Each of the two bulb heads has an adjustable gooseneck so it's easy to clip the lamp into place and direct the light where you need it. There are two brightness settings, but the lowest one is sufficient for me. I've used it for several hours and haven't noticed any flickering. It's a super useful little light!

Good news first: it's very lightweight and portable, it's easy to bend it into position to illuminate the music without interfering with page turns, and (if you use batteries) there's no pesky electrical cords snaking across the floor to trip on. Brightness is excellent with 3 alkaline batteries. Brightness is OK for about 1 hour if using 3 1.2V rechargables instead (I am glad it runs at all on rechargables; some things requiring 4.5 volts won't.) Either way, bring extras in case it goes dim on you. In my opinion, eliminating the cables and extension cords running across the stage is the biggest plus. Perhaps you could use one of the those cell-phone-recharger power packs and the USB cable if you wanted a longer life battery. On the slightly-less-good front, the LED shield is not recessed at all. This means that, if you're in an ensemble, you are guaranteed to be shining your light into one of your neighbors' eyes. There is a reason why traditional incandescent music stand lights are recessed inside a cylinder with only about 90° of the cylinder cut away. 1 or 2 millimeters of additional black plastic outside the lens of these would make them really great.I also found mine slightly wobbly, and might wish for a stronger spring in the clamp (or an actual C-clamp to tighten by hand.) Since it's less bulky that a traditional lamp, and less fragile, it may well survive being bumped during page turns anyway.

The Vantone Music Stand Light arrived in a decent box. The lights are two pronged and fully adjustable (you can twist, turn, bend in almost any direction) and seem long enough for any music sheet application. The lights have 2 different settings and is a white light which I prefer. I have a book light that is yellow and it hinders colors on the page, especially highlights. The bright setting is pretty bright if needed and each light has it's own switch so one can be high and the other off or low and that's nice instead of just one switch controlling both lights. The lights are LED so they should last a long time. The base has a flat side that allows for the light to be set up on a flat surface which is cool (see pic). My biggest quibble is the batteries are not built in and rechargeable. It requires 3 triple A batteries that will be a little of an expense with extensive usage. It does have a USB cable that can be used that is over 6 feet long and the direct power overrides the batteries. Does what it is intended to do well. RECOMMENDED.

This is a pretty good light. Runs on 3 AAA batteries or it can be plugged in with the included USB cable. I can't tell from the instructions if it can be plugged in with batteries in, but I'd certainly hope that would be okay. I haven't put it through a good test to see how long the batteries last, but I'll update this if it eats through them quickly.Luckily, because each "lamp" is independently controllable, there are 9 possible ways to have it turned on to help with battery consumption or to make it brighter. The color temperature is great, it isn't so blue that it would necessarily stand out, but it isn't so yellow that it's difficult to see the musicThe clip is strong and stable, and there's a nice articulating pad on the smaller side of it so if your stand has letters or weird ridges, it can adjust slightly to those for a better hold. The only issue I've had so far is that it was VERY difficult to get the battery cover back on once they were installed. To the point I was afraid I would break it. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with it!

I ordered this light to use on a music stand. This is a great light. It has 2 individually position-able lights, and each light has 2 light level settings. This allows for optimal lighting for my music. The light arms are extremely flexible and stay where they are positioned. The clamp that attaches the light to the stand has a very ingenious design that allows it to grip on to the stand firmly and stay in position. The length of the light arms allow for the lights to be positioned, so they don't interfere with music reading. This is powered by 3 triple A batteries OR by the included USB cable. The cable is nice and long, which makes it easier to reach a power outlet. A wall charger and batteries are not included. This item is not rechargeable. The LED light is warm, easy on the eyes, and diffuse with no glare. This light would also work well as a book light. The retail price at the time of this review is $12.99. This seems like a great price for such a good looking, and functional music stand light.Overall, I am very happy with this product.
