A fully-featured LDM that's designed for multiple purposes, the D2 is easy to operate and builds on the D1 with more functions, higher accuracy (± 1.5 mm / 1/16"), and greater range at 100m (330'). Good value. Great features and functionality. The D2 offers multiple modes of measurement that are useful for many different kinds of projects: distance, min/max, permanent, stake-out, add/subtract, area, and volume, and it includes painter and Pythagoras functions. An intelligent endpiece enables you to measure accurately from outside or inside corners, including diagonal measurements. The D2 calculates area and volume, and remembers the last 10 measurements taken. And a back-lit LCD screen makes it easy to read while you're on the job. Intelligent endpiece for corners and rough openings. The D2 measures from its base by default and can be configured to measure from the front. You can also flip out the intelligent endpiece to 90º to hook onto outside corners or extend the endpiece fully for inside corners, and it will automatically measure from the endpiece when extended. Combined with the Min/Max function, the endpiece allows you to get the tool all the way into corners for accurate diagonal measurements. Small, simple, powerful. While the D2 only weighs 3 ounces (100g) and can easily fit in a toolbox or your pocket, it has a simple-to-use interface and powerful circuitry in a compact casing with IP 54 rating, protecting it from dust and splashes of water. The interface is perfect for casual, as-needed work at home, but you can rely on the D2's accuracy—the intelligent endpiece connects directly to the circuit board. Best bang for your buck. If you'll be taking measurements often enough indoors to require precise accuracy, and if you need extra functions for different types of measurements, like corner measurements, then the D2 is a great choice for functionality and value.

I’m a cabinetmaker and bought this to measure rooms onsite. After much testing I can say that it’s been very accurate, actually more accurate than my old eyes reading a tape. It does much more than I’ll ever use it for so keep in mind that my review is just for measuring distances. My only to cons about it is that I’d like to be able to set it to the nearest 1/16” instead of 32nds and 64ths. So I have it set to decimals which I’m more familiar with. The other thing is that the button is kinda hard to push so sometimes it’s hard to hold the laser on a certain point while trying to push the button. Neither of those are a deal breaker for me and I’d buy it again.

I have used Leica Distos for a cpouple of decades and their accuravcy is remarkable. This model also has bluetooth so that I can measure and send the measurements directly to my iPad. The problem is that I cannot get it to send feet and inches, only metric. I don't have the time or patience to take every measurement (there could be dozens at a single job) and then sit and convert to lineal or square feet.Very disappointed.

To smallKey pad very badly design. No feeling when you touch.Unit stop working after two measurements. I had to shake it to make it work again. I am never sure when I go measuring if it is going to work or not. I can't trust the unit. The only problem I had with the previous unit was running out of battery.Very disappointed. I am thinking about returning it.

Pros- compact size, backlight, dead on accurate, ability to change increments (feet/inches/fractions/decimal)Cons- none so farI am an architect and I bought it to field measure a 13,000 sf building. Took me only 5 hours. I could store 10 measurements before I wrote them down on my sketches. Real time saver!

Obvious as soon as you use it why it’s not the cheapest.Great quality, Accurate and great features.Only ever have issues where it’s outside and the weathers too bright to see the dot but that’s the same for all products of this type I guess.

Love this measuring device. I am a residential appraiser and I use this many times a week. It is so easy to use and works perfectly. It makes my job measuring homes much easier. I have an older disto, but this one is soo much better.

This model is too good. I have been using this since 1 months and there is no problem with this . Accuracy is good . Quick measurements . The only problem is visibility issue of lesser light at bright day light. Otherwise product is best.

La costruzione è solida ed ergonomica ed in particolare l'aletta di riferimento non ha incertezze nelle tre posizioni possibili, e a 180° viene automaticamente impostato il riferimento di misura sul bordo estremo. Le misure sono precise fino ai 100m dichiarati. Le funzioni disponibili sono poche ma davvero semplici da usare e risultano intuitive e facili da ricordare. Il manualetto compatto e pieghevole permette di acquisire al volo tutte le funzioni. Il tasto di misurazione è senza incertezze, anche se l'avrei preferito un poco meno "duro" da premere. Il bluetooth si interfaccia solo con applicazioni essenziali e proprietarie. Comunque sia è un prodotto certamente da consigliare.
