I wanted a quilt not a book

This is a slim volume of quilts. Don't let this fact fool you. It packs a wallop. All of the quilts are small, meaning that they are not intended to be bed quilts (single, full, queen or king). This doesn't exclude them from becoming bigger quilts if you want to make more blocks and add on to the pattern, but they are designed to be Lap or Throw Quilts. I was intrigued by several of the patterns. I like quilt blocks which create visual drama, but as with many quilt blocks, this can be achieved with simple designs that are joined together to create the drama. Most of these blocks are not difficult to sew, but when finished they make a big visual statement. The size makes them quick to put together and finish.
