I like the assortment of characters and most of them are very cute. My daughter had to have one on her tennis racket when she saw a friend with it. I liked it because my daughter likes it so much, but to be completely honest, I don't know how useful these things are. For the short amount of time that she has had it on her tennis racket, it's fallen off a handful of times when her racket was in play. There were times that the dampener fell out without her realizing it, only to have her running around looking for it....it's like looking for a needle in a haystack on the ground! I think having this thing on, is anxiety inducing, for me! If it were made to grip on to the tennis racket better, and not fall off at every chance, then I would change my mind about this item. Otherwise, if I had to buy it again, it would be a HARD PASS.

Our grandkids enjoy these string dampeners on their tennis racquets -- not for the string dampening effect (!) of course, but just for show and conversation. They give and swap them with their friends after their group tennis lessons, and the package has a wide assortment of easy-to-install rubbery dampeners that suit girls/boys and grown-ups too. I don't think they will ever wear out -- more likely to just "lose" them in the bottom of a tennis bag, or have them traded/given away to a friend ... and that's all just fine.
