This is a nice decanter that adds style to the dinner table. My only cons are that the glass is thin and lightweight. Additionally, the stopper could be a little tighter than it is, and I'm afraid, over time, it could leak.

I have had several decanters before - I picked this one up because of the styling and it has been very useful thus far. I can recommend!

I like the fact that the stainless steel aerator has 12 waterfall style tunnel which aerates the wine quicker.My first time I poured too fast and it stopped flowing down as the air inside needs to get out.Pour fast enough to empty the bottle.The wine can take advantage this breathable feature faster at the same time if you drink fast for a bottle is fine, but if a slow drinker I recommend just pour normal way as it it oxydated less and the wine will be aerated slower only for the surface inside the decanter.Glass is not crystal clear, but that is ok.Love it.

Not a true decanter, no lid, does not hold overnight. Not worth it unless you have company.

My favorite thing is it is a 1L decanter. The standard wine bottle is 750ml and the smaller decanters are filled to the brim with a bottle. This has some space so even when full the weight distribution is toward the wider bottom section making it more tip over resistant.The aerator is pretty simple. Just pour the wine and watch it rain into the decanter. Remember, the decanter needs to release air as liquid is added so don't be in too much of a hurry. It's a red wine which needs some breathing time anyway, so be gentle while filling through the aerator.It adds a nice look to the table.

Prior to this, I had a decanter which basically just allowed the wine to breathe based on the shape of the decanter. This decanter comes with a special aerator which filters sediment and then disperses the wine over a waterfall style mechanism to really allow the wine to breathe. It flows down the sides of the decanter and then rests in the base of the widely shaped decanter to maximize the breath. I compared wine poured directly into the glass with that which had been poured into the decanter and I definitely felt the wine in the decanter was smoother. Perhaps that was just perception, but either way, this decanter is an elegant way to serve your wine to family and friends. Very happy with it and recommend it to all wine enthusiasts.

This may not be as aesthetically pleasing as some designs, BUT this is SO much easier to clean than those other styles! The integrated diffuser works well and is cool to watch as the wine comes down all around the decanter.I have not used the diffuser to pour the wine out of the decanter and into the glass but that is an option open to you - I prefer to rinse out the diffuser immediately, as that is the best way to keep it clean.
