I’m giving this charger a two star demotion because the one I have can be programmed to attempt to draw 32 A at 120 V. This is either going to trip a breaker or burn your house down. It can be easily programmed to load the proper 12A on a 120 V circuit but you have to be sure to set it to the limit of the outlet you’re going to plug it into. Otherwise, it seems to be a decently made device the real time display of the amount of power it’s using and especially line voltage lets you keep an eye on it.

It will get you out of a bind and is worth having with you when traveling as a backup.Notes:L2 charging into truck turns off outlets so you can’t charge another vehicle at the same time as charging the truck.Able to get 32amps out of the truck into the car.L1 charging the truck will only get you 12amps. Extremely slow when charging a cybertruck. 2-3mph. If it is cold, you may loose a charge instead of gaining due to the heater attempting to keep the batteries warm. You can turn of sentry mode to save some energy when in a pinch.

I purchased this device on Aug 23, 2024 by December, it no longer communicates with my Chevy Bolt EUV.This product has no support, no website, or no way to contact the manufacturer. It is also not CSA or ULA listed.Warning do not purchase!!

This is the second one (I should never bought again). After working once, I cannot get it to charge my 2024 Niro EV. An icon on the dash show plugged in, but it will not charge. I have tried everything from changing outlets to reducing amperage and nothing works. Of course, no help from mfg.

This cord is 3 hours faster than my OEM charger that took over 7 hours to charge my PHEV. Charges on a standard 120v outlet a little over 4 hours. With the NEMA 14-50, it fully charges in a little over 2 hours. Heavy duty cord with a lot of length.

Press and holder the same button to perform multiple function is very cumbersome and hard to remember since it's not intuitive. Most Chinese products has this kind of flaw.The unit itself works very well and have 32AMP output. Has been using it for 1 month now outdoor without issue.

This portable charger worked well for a couple of weeks but stopped working for no reason. I got a communication error and have no idea how to fix it. I will be returning it.

This portable EV charger works for all SAE-J1772 Electric Vehicles and has everything you need all within a single carrying case, allowing you to charge at home or anywhere you go! It fits into both level 1 and level 2 type north american electrical outlets, as it comes with an adapter - level 2 would have a greater electrical output and lead to faster charging times.This item often goes on sale down to $200CAD, so I would definitely wait until this is on sale before purchasing.

I’m happy with this portable electric vehicle charger’s versatility and ease of use. It supports J1772 ports, which is great because it works with most EVs (except Tesla) on the market. The charger comes with both a 110v regular power outlet for level 1 charging and a 240v NEMA 14-50 outlet for faster level 2 charging, making it a perfect option for home or on-the-go use.Using the 110v outlet is convenient if you're not in a hurry, as it's compatible with any standard household socket, but it does take much longer to charge. The real hit is the 240v NEMA 14-50 outlet, which significantly cuts down charging time: great when I need a regular speed charge. Switching between outlets is so easy, and the charger automatically adjusts to the power source.The build quality is solid, and it feels durable enough to last through regular use. It’s compact and portable, which makes it easy to keep in your car or move between locations. I appreciate that the cord length is long enough to reach comfortably, and the connection to the EV is steady and secure.One thing worth mentioning is that it's easy to set up, even for someone who isn’t tech-savvy. Just plug it into the correct outlet, and it is good to go. While the J1772 does not support Tesla charging, the problem can be easily fixed by using an converting adapter.
