Unbelievable I gave this 5 stars on install but now I'm a year in and had to do some work in the anchor locker and I can't believe all the screws externally are completely rusted they are standard non stainless for thr cost I can't believe they went so cheap

When I purchased this returned item it was over over half off the original price and I thought it was too good to be true ….. It was! All the major components were missing.

there are a few models of lewmar that have issues. this one has been flawless. i did notice some reviews were talking about clutchs going out and they mention the size of the boat it was mounted on and they clearly didnt buy a big enough winch. this winch is for boats up to 50 foot. would be perfect for any boat below that size. dont try and save money by maxing out the winch to boat size step up to the bigger one you will be glad you did. i purchased 2 of these one for me and one for my buddies boat. neither have has any issues. he has all chain mine has rope and chain.. shop around when buying i could have saved a couple hundred on ebay but didnt check that before i purchased these. either way worth every penny invested....
