This spiral anchor is great! It's heavy duty, and the pointed end of the spiral cuts right through grass and packed dirt - it is easy to screw in. The last inch or two, I used a pair of pliers on the hook to get a better grip to finish screwing it into the ground, but it was not hard to do. The hook on the top is also very heavy duty, and it folds down flat on the ground. I have bought a few of these so far - I have them at each end of my vegetable garden to anchor down the pvc frame I built for shade cloth. I am going to purchase another 2 sets to anchor down my metal sheds (I have two).

Got for my dogs for tie-outs. Super easy to get into the ground or to twist out if I need to move them! Low enough I won’t have to move them for the mower. AND I did a pull test and they’re TOUGH lil boogers! I’m 140 lbs and I went running and yanked on it and it’s good! So my 60 lb pooches don’t have a chance haha

Bought for a camping trip, but the dirt was way too firm for me to get it in there without the use of other tools. Will be putting it in the front yard now. Though we haven't used it, I can verify that it is very sturdy and durable. It will definitely hold my 23 lb. Chihuahua. However, the hook on the lead might be a little small, so I may have to figure something out for that.

This was easily screwed into the ground using a broom handle for leverage. It goes level with the ground so the line won’t get wrapped around it. Also you can mow the lawn over this. No need to whipper snip this spot.

I bought this for a dog, tie-out whilst we went to the cabin for my Husky X Rottwlier approx 65-75lbs puppy. It is sturdy, heavy, and goes in the ground. Only thing I recommend is you use a tool I find when it gets to a certain depth you don't have enough leverage to go fully in, I used a pole and just twisted it right in and didn't budge. Would recommend for other uses as well due to the build quality.

Product came with so many random paint chips and under the hook it’s painted a different orange, almost like it’s been used. Strange that it came like this, but it’s still going to get the job done.

I was concerned that having only 8 inches screwed into the grass/topsoil would not be secure enough for our 45 pound dog, but good news it works great. In addition since the top of the screw is flat, it is not a trip hazard. A bonus is how easy it is disconnect the 30 foot dog cable, fold the orange metal loop downward and you can mow the grass with no concerns about hitting the flat metal base. Best dog spiral ground anchor on the market that looks great once installed in the yard.Update: 4 years later this dog ground anchor has worked perfect in my backyard. I have used all four seasons and it never once came loose from the ground. I can even mow my lawn with the orange loop in place but I do release metal attachment.

They work great, just too short for my 20 ft inflatable snowman, if the ground is frozen they stay, if it's damp ground they pull out once in a while. Again it isn't defective product, just didn't pick the correct size for my application. Im About to order the 16" versions, hope they hold
