I have been using little giant pumps in my very large pond for years. They usually survive 5 to 8 years. It’s a great company and this one I found at “used like new“ at a significant savings.

Powerful pump for our small water feature. We have to regularly clean the pond skimmer filter to prevent the pump from sucking air. Any debris will hinder the flow.

I have a small pond that I have this pump in. I bought one in 2022, it didn't last a year. They did warranty it but I had already bought a new one 8/23 so now I had a spare. In 2/24 the one purchased in 8/23 stopped working. I had an electrician come out and verify there was no issues with power and replaced the GFCI outlet before putting my new spare pump in. We'll it's now 9/24 and the new pump from 2/24 has also stopped working. My electrician says it is poor internal wiring causing it to get water in places it shouldn't and then it trips thr GFCI. Do yourself a favor and try a different brand.

This is the second of this pump...my first one was purchased in the spring of 2016. It lasted until purchasing a second Little Giant Pump in March of 2022. The first one lasted 6 years of 24/7 operation. I'm assuming this is good as this is my only experience. This time I connected a second pumping destination for a small water feature. I still connected it for the large waterfalls and this is working great. I did contact customer service and the representative was most helpful and told me what I was dong was just fine.Fairly easy to install but you'll need to purchase clamps and the like for connection to your water source. Cord was long enough to reach my power source with plenty left over. I attached a flat wood base to the actual pump base which makes it much easier to position and keep in place.

Little giants are great pumps. They are durable. I use this pump in a waterfall that rises about 15’ and about 25’ from pump to upper basin. Very solid stream of water for waterfall effect. Spring through fall I run them 7-24. I store them in the dead of winter and usually get about 5-6 years out of them. Price from amazon is much lower than specialty stores. If you use this in an area where leaves and debris might get into the water and to the pump, I highly recommend putting it in a heavy duty plastic mesh bag so it doesn’t suck them into the impeller or block the water intake. My pond is under some trees so before I added the mesh bag I was having to clean the water inlets periodically. The pump still worked but it impeded water flow. With the bags I haven’t had to worry about that anymore. Power Cord is about 12-15’ long to reach an outlet away from the water. I remove mine every winter to prevent freezing and reinstall in the spring.

This is the second pump like this from LG I've purchased over the last 20 years. These things work fantastic - run like champs never have problems. This runs my water features in my pond and it'll deal with the pong gunk at the bottom from not running for a week or two in the winter without an issue. If you need to exceed the run or vertical rise amount. Use a larger pipe and split it, I ran the pipe the 30 feet to the top of my water feature and was barely getting anything, split it 15 feet back and added two more runs up the hill - all three are producing the same amount of water that the first one was originally doing (Which is still doing the same amount). so if you need a little extra water on a long run, split it and make a second or third leg and it'll do the job you want it to do.You can also downsize the pipe to increase the pressure to push it further up the hill, pump will not like you as much due to the back pressure though

So far, working well. I did have to put it in a pre-filter basket as small fish were being drawn into the intake and getting stuck there.

WONDERFUL pump. I previously had the pump just under this one. It was given to me by a friend who used it for two years ... we used the pump for an additional 3 years before it broke. BUT, the ONLY reason it went out was because during the night a storm hit, put a huge hole in liner, water ran out and pump ran dry. This pump is SO much better, the flow is EXCELLENT!!!!! Very, very, very worth the little extra cash. Strongly recommend!!REVISION 6/2018: JUST OMG .. this pump!!!! I’m almost scared to say how much I love it!! It is still working!!! This pump is AMAZING!! Its 2018 .. we purchased in 2011. We just purchased a new skimmer ... the previous skimmer was a DIY and apparently wrong size (don’t do this btw .. do yourself a huge favor and spend $100 for a good skimmer) So now the two waterfalls are flowing wonderfully!! I’m not gonna lie, I had to go outside and check to make sure we had not replaced this pump before updating this review. We just haven’t had good luck with much of anything on the pond so this is a major win and deserves a good review. If I could give more stars I would.I’m attaching a few pictures that were taken a couple years back (don’t laugh at my DIY skimmer) .. just wanted to show size of pond that I am powering w/ the pump. I will try to remember to update w/ a video after we are finished cleaning to show the flow of waterfall. Also .. please note their is a huge oak tree above the pond (can’t see Oak in these pics) This tree drops SO many leaves and those pollen things (I call them pollen-pillars bc they look like caterpillars) .. this stuff is a nightmare to have over a pond. But the new skimmer and THIS pump work awesome at keeping it clean. Very impressed!!EDIT: 11.29.2020 - Still going strong!!!! :)
