It would be really helpful if they would include the little clip the secures it to the other half though.

This was a perfect fit on my 2009 Silverado. Watch a few videos on YouTube to learn how to handle the clips that hold this cable to the upper cable. Also, you want to make sure to adjust the length before clipping the larger clip onto the outer housing when done. I didn't do that at first and couldn't shift to Park. Then I adjusted it too much and couldn't get into 1st. Third time was a charm.
