This stand is small, compact, cheap, sturdy, and fits in my gig bag. They are great.If I were getting a stand for home, I might get something bigger, but I cannot imagine using anything else at a gig.

The first stand arrived broken, but was promptly replace. The first time I used the replacement, my guitar slid off and hit the floor within a minute. No one was around the stand. I’ve been playing guitar and using portable stands for over 50 years so i don't think this was user error. its a great design but just doesn't function well.

I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and have never once had a guitar fall out of a stand. I've had two instances where my Les Pauls slipped and fell out of this stand. I believe it's due to the stand not being able to lock in place once fully expanded and can retract back just enough to allow a guitar to slip out of the stand. Would not buy again.

First I’ll say the design is great. I can put this in my gig bag and have one less item to take to shows and rehearsals. Sturdy enough, but a little flimsy. Hercules has great customer service, even if it fails they’ll take care of me. I use it mainly for bass guitars. Jazz basses need a little attention to positioning, but it works great. Any bass or guitar with an even edge will fit perfectly. My acoustic fits very nicely. I tried to tip it over, unless someone runs directly into it, it won’t fall. Great price for a fantastic space saving folding stand. I will be buying more.
