The value of this crystal flash type of material is pretty impressive, compared to purchasing individual packages of similar materials in several different colors at the fly shop. It's isn't as "wavy" as genuine crystal flash, so it won't have the same characteristics in the water, but I still think it will be effective as an attractor on maribou jigs and similar. I definitely appreciate the variety of colors that you are getting here, it's a good value for that reason.

When these arrived, I immediately tied a few flies to test it out and it's as good as any that I've used. Easy to tie with, great action in the water and the color selection (in the 24 pack) is fantastic.I tied a wooly bugger, a deer hair streamer and a clouser with various colors mixed in and they all looked great, in and out of the water. As a mostly trout guy that doesn't tie large flies often, this pack will last me a while...really good quantities to go with the selection of colors.All thumbs up from my experiences.

If you do any fly tying or fishing lure making, you often find the pattern calling for flashabou. It is thin mylar strips of different colors that glitter in a way that imitates fish/insect scales. This offering provides a very usable collection of colors of flashabou, and most likely a lifetime supply, especially if you get the 24-color pack. I was impressed by the quality of the material, the palette of colors, and the reasonable cost.
