How to select the Corset Size?

Please take your measurements based on the photos below.
Please choose the size based on natural waist measurement.
The corset size selected based on your waist measurements can fit you well as long as your Underbust & Hip measurements are within the range.
The size proposed is 4"-5" reduction on your waist when wearing the corset.

Underbust

Measure around the underbust area.
Make sure the tape measure is level under your arms and across your back.
Hold the tape tightly as how you would want the corset to fit.
This has nothing to do with your bra size.

Natural Waistline

Bend to one side to find the natural crease of your waist.
This is the slimmest part of your waist (usually 1 inch above your belly button).
Measure at this point snug but not too tight.

Upper Hip

Measure around the top to your hip bone (not the fullest part of your hip).
This Is the upper portion before it reaches the widest point.
Make sure the tape is parallel and snug but not too tight.

Torso Length

Sit straight on a chair, measure from under your bust extending the tape at the top of your thigh.
Make sure the tape is not loose.

CORSET INSTRUCTION

How To Put On Your Corset:

1. At the back of the corset, untie the bow and then fully loosen the laces. Do not remove the knot at the bottom end of the corset.

2. Detach the front busk fastening and gently loosen the laces at the back. Open the garment as wide as possible with only a pair of small loops at the centre back.

3. Wrap the corset around your body while adjusting the modesty panel so it would be flat under the laces. Fasten the third hook from the bottom first, then fasten all the remaining hooks at the bottom then all remaining hooks at the top. Refasten those that come undone after fastening the others.

4. Gently pull the long loops of the lace until the corset stays in place without holding it.

5. Starting either from the top or bottom, gently tighten the laces while adjusting the modesty panel in its place and smooth it out.

6. Tie the laces into a bow but do not make a knot. Make sure there is 12 inches gap between the two sides of the corset. This will vary between the top and bottom depending on the shape of your body. The centre of the corset should be pulled in the most.Note: Corsets require adjustment over a few days. When newly worn, thegap between panels should be between 34 inches going down to 12 inches over the course of adjustment process.

7. If you want to hide the extra lacing, you can braid it and pass under crossed laces on your corset either from the top or bottom.Note: Never make a knot out of your laces at the center as it will be very difficult to undo the knot when removing your corset.

The First Time You Wear Your Corset:

This corset should feel snug and comfortable. If there is no gap at the back where the lace is, it means the corset is too big for you. Before adjusting the gap at the back, make sure that the gap would be 34 inches and 12 inches.

Adjusting Your Corset:

You wouldn't wear a brand new pair of shoes out for a long walk, in the same way you don't take your corset out of its package and wear it to it's tightest all day long.

1. Wear the corset so it feels slightly snug, not tight.

2. After 15-30 minutes, pull the lace a bit.

3. Continue to pull the lace a bit every 15-30 minutes, until the corset is fully tightened.

Removing Your Corset:

Untie the bow at the back of your corset strings tugging the laces by pulling it loose from the top all the way down the line. Then remove busk from top down.

This is a lovely cotton twill corset with yes - steel boning - not that cheap plastic junk. I am a big fan of steel boned corsets and own about twelve different ones I wear for various performances (I'm a musician). My criteria is they have to be comfortable when tight laced leaving a 1 to 2 inch gap in the lacing, they have to be well built as I put them though hell on stage, they have to be stylish or functional. This corset totally fits the bill. I hve a gig in New Orleans next week and the seller ( luvsecretlingerie_premier) has been super awesome and rush shipped to get the corset to me as my size (5XL for a 42-43" waist) was not on prime. Unfortunately, the corset dies not lace tight enough for my tight lacing requirements It does cinch nicely and give me a good line whilst being comfortable but it doesn't let me tight lace as tight as I like to for performance. If you are new to corsets and just want an extra firm support, go by the sizing chart they give you. If your an old are a tight lacer like me, buy one size smaller for a true tight lace fit.Because I needed this for a travel gig, I bought a second one in the 4XL in the hopes it can make it on time for my flight. I contacted the seller a second time and let them know the situation. They responded imitatively letting me know that they would express ship it the very next day to help me out. Now that is customer service. For $35, I'm keeping the one that was a little too large as well. Its a really nice cotton corset and well worth the money. I plan on using it for daily wear to give me a trimmer more hourglass shape without the tight lacing. I've added some pics so you can see the difference with and without the corset over and under clothing.

Wore this to a black tie and lingerie party for NYE. At first I ordered a small based on the sizing suggestion (I have a 28" waist, 5'6'' 147lbs) but it didn't close quite as much as I wanted so I exchanged it for a medium. My only complaint is that I don't think it comes in enough at the waist, I naturally have an hourglass figure so this felt like it fit at my hips and chest nicely but didn't do much to reduce my waist. The color was beautiful and it looked great for the event.

This corset worked great all day for my renaissance outfit! The hip portion did flare out more for me that made a gap in my skirt silhouette, but I think my hips are just smaller than what the corset was contouring to. The quality is good and I liked the metal hooks in the front. The fabric on the outside was silk looking which is exactly what I was looking my for!

Great corset! The cotton feels well against skin. At first this was for a costume - I started wearing it daily under clothes because it feels like a nice hug. Keeps my back straight and my waist looks snatched. Used to have to loosen it - now it’s completely tied close. (To be fair I’ve also lost about 10 or so pounds) Im going to order xxs and try some light tight lacing over time.Only complaint is once it got broken in - the steel bones in the front have begun to come through the stitching. Had to sew it back together. Otherwise good for wide hips and fits lengthwise very nicely. :)

I love this corset! It is exactly what I was looking for. The instructions on how to lace it make ZERO sense, but a quick google search makes it easy enough. Not a glamorous looking corset, it is a rough cotton material, but it still looks amazing. The boning is super strong, so it holds you in well but doesn't dig into you.

As someone with an already tiny waist, it's been a struggle to get into the corsetting world. The first few corsets I tried didn't fit at all, and were either much too large on my waist, or fit on my waist and cut into my hips. I spent a long time looking for corsets for someone who already has an hourglass figure, and when I saw this listing, I had to order right away. To start off, the parcel arrived a week late. When it did finally show up, the corset was packaged neatly in a protective bag. I opened the bag and the smell hit me - it was horrible. I left it to air out for a day, and when I came back to it, it didn't smell any more. When I tried the corset on though, it had all been worth it. Finally, a corset that fit me.As a newbie in the corset world, I can't really speak on how well-made this corset is in comparison to companies known for their quality, but I can compare it to other corsets I've ordered from Amazon. Just by touch, this corset doesn't feel as well-made as any of the others I have, and I believe the boning may be plastic, not steel as advertised. However, the corset is incredibly comfortable - it was easy to break in and it doesn't cut into my hips at all. I wore it all day for the first time yesterday and it helped a lot with my posture and back pains.If you can afford to buy a from a company like Orchard Corset or Corset Story that are known for their quality, I would recommend that over this; you get the quality you pay for, and I imagine the corsets you buy there will last much longer than this one. However, if you don't quite have the budget for that or you're like me and wanting to buy a cheaper corset as your first, I'd definitely recommend this one. This corset is comfortable and, like the title says, definitely made for people who already have an hourglass figure.
