Something I wish it had was a PCIe bracket for stabilization, though I suppose I could 3D print such a thing. As it is, it's sorta just loosely friction-mounted in the PCIe slot, not secured to anything. I can imagine a swift bump might knock it out, or at least unseat it enough for the pins to disconnect. In any case, it's a really neat little device, if just for novelty's sake, though it certainly is functional - especially for SFF builds with little clearance for extraneous add-ons. My daily driver has a very low-end miniITX board without an m.2 port. Additionally, with only one x16 (occupied) and one x1 slot, such is the necessity for this adapter.

Works well. Obviously as a single lane PCIe you don't get the peak speed the NVME is capable of, but its functional and still fast (500-1000MB/s depending on the motherboard PCI version). Fits better in some PCIe slots than others but doesn't feel like it will fall out of my vertical motherboard
