*UPDATEreplacement is broken as well. volume knob cuts in and out and makes noise.Now I loved Mackie products!Been using their boards and speakers for 20 years, but it seems the last few years the quality has gone down. I first bought this 8 channel board a few days ago and when I got it the volume knob was intermittent, so the sound was going in and out left and right just by turning the volume knob.I sent it back got an exchange & just got the new one today.Plugged it all into something for Sound starting to turn it up and the volume knob worked but had a Dirty connection it was very scratchy. I twisted back-and-forth about 20 times and it got less and less but I ended up using a little bit of contact spray & it seems to have gone away.Now I gave this one star review when I initially got it because of the broken volume knob I moved it up to two because I shouldn’t have to use contact spray or do what I did. it should be perfect right out of the box. Nothing on the description says this is a refurbished item or used or previously so it should be perfect out of the box. but if this is a brand new item coming straight from Mackie I am very disappointed. my small Barringer seems more rugged and stable than this Mackie.to me it’s not worth $100 maybe 60 at the most.

Purchased the Mix 8 board after reading a few reviews and now about a month into using it I've found it to be very versatile, reliable and more expensive that it's getting credit for mostly based on how one gets to 8 inputs. The layout makes it easy to use even in dark setting. I will advise getting an array of connectors and be creative the board allows for it.

Bought this for my live headphone mix abd click track since I'm the drummer and all I can say is that for 89 bucks you better not have a single complaint. China made or not, you cant beat the value and the fact you still get 2 XLR inputs with Mic Pres and phantom power. Cheapest garbage mixer is 59 bucks. Spend the extra 30 bucks on this one... Well worth it.
