This is NOT pure MgSO4. Loads of impurities and NOT completely water soluble (It should be!). Buyer beware!

I self-mutilated my feets for a long time (3 years of age until 30 years of age roughly) because of self immolation abuse and had cutaneous cuts and scraps on my heel that wouldn't heal using antibiotics or otherwise. After excising my heel lesion with this when taking a bath and filling water of tub with it to soak (along with various soaps and oils added.. I also used nickel cadium to scrapexcess skin before) it seems to heal splitting of lesions extremely well along with making my feets longevity perhaps better from fluffy and longlasting abrasions into full foot again. Not sure of the chemical substrate that makes it particularly effective, perhaps this is useful for severe burn victims or people with issues pertaining to such problems that cannot heal outer layer epidermis.About half cup per half bath-tub of water recommended.

I primarily use magnesium sulfate to dry organic solvent mixtures. That is to say, to absorb the water and then filter out the hydrated magnesium sulfate. This stuff works. The bag has a good closure, so I am confident it is not absorbing humidity while it sits on the shelf. The powder is a bit coarse, which means you can filter it out with "larger holes" in your filter. You don't need to use a coffee filter, you could probably use cheese cloth.

Contains "fines" that form an annoying emulsion unless the filtrate is pulled through celite or a very fine quantitative filter paper. This is not ideal for chemistry. Other than that, the product is acceptable: it is magnesium sulfate and it is anhydrous.
