About this item

  • Building on the heritage and proven performance of Magpul’s MS Sling series, the Magpul RLS (Rifleman Loop Sling) is a durable, lightweight, and affordable shooting aid and retention device
  • Combining the best features of Rhodesian and 1907 match-style slings, the RLS was created with Magpul’s famous proprietary nylon mesh webbing and high-strength polymer hardware
  • In a retention role, the RLS serves dutifully as an unobtrusive rifle sling and retention device, securely keeping the rifle tucked behind the shoulder
  • When called upon, the RLS is rapidly employed with the adjustable forward loop gripping the rifleman’s support arm, locking in a steady shooting position and firmly planting the rifle butt against the shoulder
  • At the core of the RLS lies Magpul’s proprietary chafe-resistant 1 ¼” nylon mesh webbing; Tubular construction eliminates harsh edges that can rub or snag and provides double layers of cushioned comfort against the end user while shouldered

Magpul Industries, RLS Sling, Coyote Brown, Two Point Sling, Nylon Webbing, 1.25" Wide, Fits 1.25" Sling Attachment.

A solid sling for pulling a rifle tight against the shoulder. Simple and effective. It is a tight fit through the Ruger 10/22 swivels, but not impossible. Recommended.

Held off on buying one of these because I have several Rhodesian slings from Andy’s leather and a Galco Riflemann sling on my scout and practical rifles. But I can always use extra slings to mix it up a bit. Regret holding out for so long!At the price point you’re getting one hell of a sling. Using grove tech 1 1/4 swivels I installed it on a Ruger gunsite scout. Lite unobtrusive and has a great soft feel to it. Outstanding as a cuff sling. This might actually my old M1 slings as my basic go to quick rifle sling. Also was an outstanding shooting aide for my tikka T3X CTR. Buy with confidence. One con I will say is that the included instructions aren’t very good. If you google this sling model you’ll find plenty of posts and blogs about proper install and use. Once it’s set up you’ve got an excellent shooting and carry sling at the price point.

I mostly don't use a sling (only when hog hunting and am walking long distance on foot) so did not want to spend a ton on a sling.Ultimately opted for RLS sling + no hardware. I just loop the sling around the rifle stock & handguard. My stock does have a slot to feed a sling strap but I actually prefer to just loop the sling thru itself onto the buffer tube region of the stock, then I loop the other end on the handguard near my foregrip and use the magpul sinch thing (it comes on the strap) to sinch it tight. I can take sling on & off in about 15 seconds - plenty convenient for hunting. If you want to get hardware - please dont buy the crappy $5 QD mounts, pay for a good brand like Magpul or BCM. The no-name brand mounts might look fine but is probably a poor quality cast metal.

The strap is high quality, and the design is good, but good luck figuring out how to put it together the way they intended. Instructions are terrible, and instructional video is somehow worse.

Good Rifle Slings for long rifles. Does not clang and make noise like the old metal clasp GI slings. Light with high quality Nylon and inexpensive priced. How Magpul keeps on getting away with it is beyond me.Installation instructions may be a bit vague and confusing for some. Please don't follow the example of that one user who cut his sling for installation. I know some of us may have skill issues but trust me it installs with no need to cut any part of the sling. Youtube has good visual guides if you need it.

This sling is very well made and is way more than just a strap to carry your rifle around with. When installed properly, this sling can be used as a support for extra stability. It has a nice arm loop that will need to be properly adjusted for each individual, but this can be done in under 5 minutes. The instructions are a little difficult to follow if you have never installed this type of sling before. I will definitely be buying more these for other rifles in the future. Great job, Magpul!

This is an excellent shooting sling once you dial it in. It looks simple but it's very versatile. It doubles as a standard carry sling and a quick deploying stabilizing sling with a (hasty) adjustable arm loop. Basically it's Magpul's minimal modernized version of a 1907 sling. With my smaller body type, the RLS even had enough slack to be pressed into the role of a non-adjustable tactical sling set for low-ready carry. However I prefer it adjusted taught as a standard sling for the maximum tension and support as a stabilization aid. It's very easy/quick to adjust and adapt to different long guns, I have it on QD mounts so it can do double duty as a shooting/carry sling for both my 20" A4-ish AR and 22lr bolt action CZ carbine. It was a little confusing at first to install, but laying it out flat horizontally in front of me on a wide surface with the instructions for reference help a whole lot. You'll need a small to medium flathead screw driver to feed it through its adjustment keeper.

Installed on a vintage Schmidt-Rubin M1911, which is over 51" long and weighs over 10lbs empty. This RLS makes a HUGE difference in balance and feel when using the integrated forward loop. It does take a few minutes of fine tuning and setting up but I can't think of a single reason to not recommend this strap. Fits perfectly in fixed 1.25" loops and feels both soft and strong at the same time. When passing end through the forward keeper I didn't like the idea of using a screwdriver for fear of picking the fabric but the end can easily be passed through if you pinch both straps together and slide the keeper. For this price point you won't find a more versatile yet simple sling.
