The only down side to this part is the wires are not color matched to the original harness. If you are OCD, it may make you twitch a little. It did plug into the controller perfectly though,

If you have to replace the heater controls on your Impreza Crosstrek or Forester get this Because more than likely, the connection is melted Mine would not unplug because it got so hot.

Working ok was cheaper than replacing the wiring harness.

My wife's 2016 Subaru Impreza's HVAC fan quit working a few weeks ago. Unbeknownst to me at the time, her car experienced what appeared to be a pattern failure with the Subarus of the era. The connections within the rotary HVAC fan speed selector knob had melted and failed open-circuit. Along with the fan knob, both the connector behind the fan knob and the wiring harness connector (which this product replaced) also melted and failed.Along with a new, replacement HVAC control panel, I had to replace the wiring harness connector. This connector was used for this purpose. I cut off the old connector, making sure to pay close attention to which wires went to which pin. One suggestion for improvement with this connector would be to use different-colored wires to differentiate which pin was which. However, the uniformly-colored wires on this connector/pigtal did not cause me any issues with the installation.Thsi connector plugged perfectly into the replacement HVAC controls and seems to be working well, as evidenced by the working HVAC in my wife's car.If you own a Subaru Impreza or Crosstrek from this era, expect to need to replace the fan speed knob at some point (if you haven't already.) I would recommend using this connector/pigtail as part of that repair/replacement.
