This is not a ball that can be used to practice pitching. You can use the ball as a go to ball for finger positioning, but the ball lacks good craftsmanship. The cover fits loosely on the ball, the cover seems to be made of synthetic material, and there is no way the painted finger positions will withstand any contact with the ground. It's good to use as a reference for pitching, but it should not be used to throw pitches. I would not buy it again!

This is a cool product that helps girls learn and remember the proper grip to throw different pitches. I only wish the printed info provided with the ball was better produced and not just a small sheet of paper. The price could be a little less too. Pretty good training product.

Excellent for new pitchers and a great tool to keep the more experienced pitchers sharp.Practiced with the training ball to learn the grips, rotation and snaps for each pitch then used a 16" ball after to help with my grip on the ball, it makes it easier and gives you more confidence to grip a 12" softball after you practice with the trainer and a ball larger than the regulation size for your game.
