Just two screws to Assemble
When Assembling the winder,make sure the foot of the guiding assembly is pointing to the right corner of the metal box,and tighten the screw with the allen key coming along.
After that, put the spindle on the middle of the top gear and turn it clock-wise to lock it in place.
Assemble the spool
Use both hands to attach the spool to the machine,hold the gear with your left hand, and twist the spool clockwise with a little force with your right hand,so it can fit tightly into the adapter,glue may help if necessary.
Easy to set up
Make a knot at end of the yarn ,and put it into the slit of the bobbin,make sure it's securely locked,winding the yarn on the bobbin one or two round, and put the yarn into the guide on guiding arm,then pull up the upper ring of the tensioner and put the yarn into it,release the ring so the two ring keep the yarn inside.
Now you are ready to wind.

I almost returned this item!!! I could not get it to wind a 16 oz ball of yarn. It was constantly messing up. Then I figured before I take it back let me try one more time to see if I can make it work. This time it worked!!! I got the secret to this ball winder. You just have to have the yarn at the same level as the guides. It will not wind a larger ball correctly if it is lower or higher. Also do not hold the yarn, let it move freely through the guides and when it gets larger slow it down a bit. All of this will give you the yarn cake of your dreams. Happy winding!

The strand winder arrived quickly, super delivery! But the yarn winder cone turned out to be broken, it is impossible to use, return half the amount, I will buy the broken part myself.

Love this electric yarn. Winder works well saves time but don’t walk away from it. Make sure you’re there while it’s winding. package did get lost in the post but arrived eventually so was a little delayed

I expected it to be a bit more durable. We received it with a broken part. The little guide under the spring on the arm was broke. All the parts seem very fragile for what it is intended for. It does the job, but be careful and cautious when using.Be sure to use the table clamp. It wobbles the table while clamped. It would go flying without it.The faster you go the longer it seems to take. Yarn is continuously bouncing out of the guides at faster speeds. Hence slower speed is faster for not having to stop and reset the yarn through the guides.

Yarn winder abruptly stopped after two uses. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS YARN WINDER. Since it’s something you won’t use everyday, you could have it for over a month, and want to use it again just to find as I did, it no longer works.I purchased this yarn winder August 30th of 2023. Last night in the middle of winding my first skein of yarn, it just abruptly stopped working. The cone would not spin, the motor just hummed. When I contacted Amazon, I’m informed I no longer have the option to return for a replacement. I paid $85.39 (including tax), for an item that only worked for one month, one week, and now they tell me I have no repercussions for a faulty product because it lasted a week longer then their policy allowed. I am 74 yrs old, I have lots of experience in yarn winding, I am not rough with my tools, and I would expect them to last longer then a month. Perhaps there should be something in their policy for products such as this to at least be replaced if it defaults within a 3 month period. I wasn’t asking for my money back, I was asking for a replacement. That’s a lot of money to throw out the window, especially in todays world of this horrible economy.
