Marshalltown 16506 3-3/4-Inch Wood Line Blocks (Pair) are used to hold mason's line taut from one end of a course to the other to help ensure straight rows of brick or block. These wood line blocks are shaped from poplar hardwood. They come shrink-wrapped in pairs.

I decided to buy these blocks online because they were cheaper than from the store. They arrived quickly which surprised me. They're a nice little tool to have when laying block.

These are useful, well made, and built out of some kind of lightweight wood that is kinda like balsa wood or some kind of cheap pine like the others have mentioned. If this was made out of something quality, I could see it lasting, as it is, it's kind of a disposable and I guarantee it won't make a year of regular use. I'd gladly pay more for some quality seller! Please offer a "for pros" option made out of beech, oak or similar.They serve their purpose, but as they are made to a lower quality standard, I can't give them more than 3 stars because I know I'll be buying new pairs every couple of months.
