I bought 4 of these because they operate using matter over thread and I didn’t want to be locked into one ecosystem. Setup and installation was fairly straightforward (the company provided me with different sized end pieces to fit in my roller tubes by contacting them via WhatsApp). Connecting them to Apple Home and Amazon Alexa was easy enough, but when I try to run them as a group, one or two of them don’t respond. Lately, one of them will not respond to any smart home commands and I have to use the remote to operate it. Overall, I’d say they are functional as roller blind motors, but the smart part is questionable at best. Lately, three of them have been mostly responsive to smart home commands, while one is almost completely unresponsive.

Well it took a but of work but I finally got this installed in our bedroom windows. All I can say is to take your time and try not to get frustrated and you will install it just fine. Definitely recommended

So far everything works great. Directions must be read in detail and followed for installation purposes. I used my existing hardware since it has a valance connected and it worked great. Just need to adjust the mounting hardware a little wider to compensate for extra width that is created by the motor. My roller tube is 38mm, but motor didn’t originally fit. The crown and drive that inserts into the tube from the motor was a tad too big. The interior width of my tube was 36.5 mm. I reached out to Zemismart through their website and they sent me the part I needed. It took about 8 - 9 days since they had told me it was being shipped from China. This is the second one that I ordered from them and so far so good. I plan on ordering about 10 more in the coming months if everything continues to work. I’m using the Apple HomeKit and the integration with the Home app was great. No extra hub or installation of additional app necessary.

I paired the device to HomeKit, then it stopped responding immediately.The QR codes on the wires are so poorly printed that they can't be actually be used, so you have to take the motor off the brackets, to access the QR code on the back.Garbage.

These blinds are amazing. They do not take long to set up at all and I have managed to pull my old blinds down, slot the motor into the existing tubes then fix the new brackets into the existing holes my blinds already had in the window frame. I bought 6 motors in total (only 1 with the remote), and they probably take about 10-15 minutes each to pull down, dismantle, and then put back up - and I am not all that technical. The remote set up is a little fiddly, but just read the instructions properly and once you get the hang of one, doing it again is easy. Make sure you do the setup first being adding it to any Smart Home Assistant. I use Apple Homekit and it has linked in just fine via the Matter pairing QR code. The blind motors run very quiet (I previously had the Aqara blind driver which pulls a metal cord - they are noisy, unreliable and an overall nightmare). These Zemismart blinds seem to do the job very well at a fairly reasonable price.
