I needed a tailpiece to extent the length of flat wound strings so I could reach the silk wound ends on a baritone guitar build.I just removed the saddles and used it as a tailpiece

If your Strat has a 6 screw bridge this might not be the best for converting your trem bridge to a hard tail bridge. This bridge uses only 2 screws and you would have to dowel up the 6 screws and drill 2 more holes to secure the hardtail bridge to the guitar. Certain Starts might use a 2 screw bridge but mine was 6 so I had to make other plans. However the bridge was good quality and had a good weight.
