This is a really weird way for them to say you can't sharpen it and you have to replace the pencil tips. It comes with a set of replacements, but it's still a lot of waste. The pencils feel nice in the hand and have sturdy caps to protect the tips, but it's just strange that they come with replacement tips, rather than pencil full of lead. The full tip is graphite, so you can use them upright to write or draw with, but can also be used on the side for shading, so that's nice. It's just sort of a solution without a problem, I think. But they're pretty.

These pencils are very useful to have around. They basically write like regular HB pencils. I do feel it's probably a bit lighter in darkness and maybe more of a B lead. It does write very smooth since it has a rounded head. You can't really sharpen these but they have a relatively thin point at the end that is probably between 0.5 to 0.7 lead. The pencils has a smooth plastic body that is triangular shaped. All the corners are smoothed out so is easy to hold. The flat shapes also allows for better grip. The great thing about this is the graphite nibs. They will last for a long time and won't require sharpening. Also, there are refills when needed.
