I'm an Automotive Technician.....a small female Auto Tech. 5'3" 135lbs, mostly muscle. I ordered the Adult Small but debated on ordering the Youth instead. When it comes to garments, a Youth XL is the same as an Adult Small in most cases. Only difference I've ever noticed is that a Youth XL may have longer sleeves than the same Adult Small long-sleeve shirt or sweater, while an Adult Small pants are usually an inch or two longer in the inseam than a Youth XL. That being said, the only reason I ordered these in Adult is because I am quite muscular and I prefer to have a longer sleeve so the top band isn't cutting into my bicep. These did the job! I actually don't wear these at work, I wear them to sleep. Sounds totally weird I'm sure, but hear me out.... I have Cubital Tunnel Syndrome AND Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. So I have lots of pain, pins & needles, lightning finger sensations and numbness in my fingertips. They also don't want to grasp things sometimes or my hands will spaz out and grasp onto something (like a wrench) then not want to let go. My greatest relief is keeping my arms straight while sleeping overnight. It keeps the nerves and blood vessels from getting smashed for a solid 6-8 hours so my hands can kinda go back to normal every morning. Problem is, I have serious sensory issues when wearing wrist or elbow braces overnight. Every brace I've tried works just fine, but keeps my hands and elbows locked so straight that it freaks me out and I have nightmares about it then rip them off. So I needed something that was like a gentle subtle reminder for me to keep my arms straight out while sleeping but also won't feel like a cast all night long. These sleeves also provide a teeny amount of compression for my arms to keep blood from pooling and making my arms swell by morning. They are soft, stretchy yet not too stretchy, washable, they stay put with the wide top elastic band and there are several colors to choose from. They were also on sale when I purchased so I got a great deal on 4 of them. Happy with my purchase. Would buy again. And would suggest this product to friends/family.

I referred to the guide and ordered the medium size, but this is very small for me. This sleeve puts a lot of pressure on me even though my triceps are not big. I recommend large for men. Ignore the guide. I'm just going to keep it because I'm lazy to return it.

My daughter has gone through many a pair of these and they’re her favorite. Super protective, well made, and I love that you can get these reversible ones at a cheaper price point than the plain black ones. These are so helpful for her when digging for balls during volleyball practice. She’s only 5’0” so the youth size fits her perfectly. She’s also tried some of the adult pairs but she prefers the length on these.
