Decided to do a tune up on my John Deer. Kit had everything needed. Wasn't paying attention, came with the fuel pump and I needed to replace the one on the mower. Everything would great.

I bought this kit to do a spring tune up on my lawn tractor. I highly recommend it. All of the parts seem high quality and fit well. The spark plugs were appropriately gapped already and the air filters fit as they should. The fuel pump is a pretty easy job too. The whole tune up took an hour. Huge savings over having your tractor serviced for the season.

All parts looked high quality, all of them fit just fine, and the mower fired right up on the first turn of the key when I was finished installing the kit. Cheaper than buying from JD directly, and by a lot. Can't ask for much more than that.

I was needing a Tune-up and new fuel pump for my John Deere LA 135 and found this kit to be just what I needed at a fraction of the price of the OEM parts.My original fuel pump went bad and was no longer working and after replacing with the one from this kit (slightly different style though) and the fuel filter my riding lawn mower was able to run once again. The spark plugs needed to be slightly gaped wider for my specific application but after doing that and installing them and the air filters I started up my lawn mower once again with no issues. I haven't installed the oil filter yet, but it seems like it should work for my JD LA135.I feel like I easily got my money's worth already out of this kit without installing the oil filter and would recommend this for those people looking to save some money. (Some places wanted $45 just for an OEM fuel pump!) Excellent Value with this kit and very fast shipping.

The kit included everything I needed to do my spring tune up of my John Deere LA 145. Everything fit perfectly. But after all was connected my mower would not start. I went through all the normal troubleshooting steps. I verified I was getting spark, then I moved on to fuel and air. First I removed the fuel line that feeds into the gas filter and verified that it was flowing. Then I disconnected the fuel line from the fuel pump and saw that fuel was flowing. Then I removed the hose that came from the fuel pump and no fuel was flowing. At first I thought that maybe the new fuel pump was bad, but then I decided to blow carburetor cleaner through that hose and found that it was blocked. Looking very carefully I discovered that on the end that was blocked there was a rubber cap embedded in the hose that had apparently come off the new fuel pump. I pulled it out and checked the last hose connection (I believe it is a vacuum hose)and found another black cap. Apparently the manufacturer puts these on the ends of the fuel pump inlets to protect it from contaminants but they are the exact same color as the pump and are not readily distinguished from the rest of the actual pump. They should be colored yellow or white to make them stand out. The story ends well despite all the challenges this adventure provided as I was able to start my mower immediately after removing the offending caps and finally cut my slightly overgrown yard.
