Tile to Vinyl Hardwood Transition connects a higher level tile floor to a lower lying vinyl floor surface without exposed fasteners. The SnapTrack is placed in the seam between tile and laminate floor during floor installation. The rounded Hardwood Transition snaps into place and covers the laminate and tile floor seam while creating a smooth transition between floors. Attach SnapTrack to floor with construction adhesive or included anchors and metal screws.

We have used these for quite some time and have always been pleased. However, this last order I had an issue with 2 of them. One was missing a chunk of wood in the middle and the second was cut short. The end of that one was painted green (I am assuming that meant is was not a good piece and should not have been shipped).

This piece is strong and much thicker than I was expecting but it’s easy to cut if needed and it’s easy to install too. I had to glue it as the floor is uneven but I hope it lasts. Overall it looks great and much better than the gap I had before!

Used this as a transition piece from laminate floor to real hard wood floor. Looks beautiful and was easy to stain to match floor.

The first one I bought came without the screws or the track so I returned and bought another one. When I went to install there was a large chip in the top of it. Due to time constraints we had to improvise and it will work, but definitely won’t be buying again in the future. I attached a picture but it doesn’t show it to well

I purchased three of these and the first one I opened was warped beyond being usable (it is wood and wood warps). The second one was fine. It installed easily and looks great. However, height of the area for the tile to rise above the base floor is 9/16" and my tile only rises less than 7/16" above the floor, so there is a huge gap. To fix this, I will have to shave off the bottom of the strip using a table saw, first cutting the 1/8" off the bottom of the part that fits in the plastic floor strip, and then flipping it over and cutting 1/8" off the bottom of the part that touches the linoleum on the kitchen floor. In other words, modifying the strip in this way for a perfect fit is a difficult task. Hopefully the photo will help you understand what I mean.

Cut off 6" to fit my case opening and with coat of varnish it fit like a glove - perfect transition from my laminate floor to tile. For the record I used 1/4" subfloor and 1/4" tile (and thin set of course) but the top of the transition and the tile couldn't be more perfect. Plus the track it goes in makes installation a breeze.
