As a bowl turner, these tapered rubber plugs are absolutely essential for me to grip the bowl in the chuck once the bowl is shaped and hollowed out. With the bowl mounted in the chuck as shown in the photo, I am then able to finish the bottom. The taper of the rubber plug allows me to tighten the chuck sufficiently so that the bowl is secure even when it is spinning at 600 rpm’s on the lathe.Will I buy these again?You betcha.

Not what I was expecting. Smaller than I thought. Holes are not clean or same size all the way through stopper
