This is pretty cool, especially for an older person who still works on cars. It's particularly suited to working on exterior, body, brakes, suspension, axles, etc - things that you would otherwise be standing, hunching, or kneeling to work on.There are magnets attached under the blue base so that you can stow tools or parts in the metal tray and they will be stably held as you roll around on the chair. The lift portion works just like an office chair: press to drop the chair while sitting on it, press to raise the chair by standing up. Everything is of reasonable quality and noticeably solid metal parts and large wheels mean that it should last a long time!Assembly takes only 15 minutes or so!

This is a nice mechanic’s stool that is replacing an old office chair seat that has had the backrest removed and it no longer telescopes up and down. This stool is a definite upgrade from what I have been using in the garage. It has a nice tool tray area under the seat that has a couple magnets that can be positioned where desired underneath the tray to keep hardware in a nice pile on the tray. The seat is kind of a little awkward; It is a square pad that feels a little tilted rather than totally level. This little tilt is likely due to the extension arms actuation. When the seat is lowered to a lower position closer to the bottom, it levels out.The seat also has a little play in where it connects to the top of the extension arm at the actuation point. Regardless, it is a definite upgrade to my garage/shop stool, but I am wondering how it will stand the test of time. I do wish it felt a bit more solid at the seat.

I recently got this super comfortable mechanic stool, and it’s been a game changer in my shop. The large cushion is incredibly supportive, making it easy to work for long periods without discomfort. It rolls smoothly across the shop floor, and the build quality is solid, so I can move around with ease while staying comfortable. The height is adjustable, which adds even more flexibility. I’m giving it a five-star rating for its comfort, durability, and smooth mobility. If you’re looking for a high-quality stool that’s perfect for working in the shop, this one is definitely worth it!

Be prepared to receive a heavy shop work chair! Not a bad thing but be aware this is probably one of the more HD chairs you are going to find. They did not skimp on the metal used, and the added complexity of 2 hydraulic cylinders to give you the ability to raise and lower this work chair added to the heavy weight. You have to assemble it, but NBD really. Once assembled - this chair moves about my shop easily, so it is no problem being heavy-duty. The seat pad itself is rather large, so when working on my car - I find it easier to straddle a seat corner. The storage tray on the bottom is very convenient during use, and of course the height adjustability is awesome and smooth.I did have a problem with my chair, though. The lower storage tray is supposed to have 2 large magnets WELDED to the bottom of the tray, but with my chair - both magnets broke free during shipping and left behind a very rough collection of weld slag. Ugh. I ended up grinding off the slag and spot painting the bottom of the tray where I ground. I also ground down the very rough surface left on the magnets so I can re-stick them to the bottom of the tray. No welding - I'll just let the magnets hold onto the metal.

This cart was much heavier built than I expected. It was very easy to assemble. It only took 4 minutes. It rolled and adjusted easily. I found that putting a corner of the seat between my legs was the most comfortable. My only complaint is that the bearings in the lazy Susan that swivel the seat are slightly loose. There is a very minor wobble that you can barely feel, but it's there. I'm still very happy with this chair.

This Height Adjustable Mechanics Stool is built very robustly. The "Z" design claims to hold 400lbs, and feels very sturdy. Rolls smoothly thanks to the 4" castors, and the tool tray at the bottom can hold a substantial amount of stuff (tools etc). Really nice Blue finish, and height adjustment range is approx14-22". 360 degree rotation, and nicely padded multilayered cushion round out the features. A premium mechanics seat with a unique design and robust construction.
