Replaced my OEM pump with this high volume one along with an entire timing kit. Engine is quieter than ever and it's nice to have that higher oil pressure.

This is an excellent oil pump which produces about 20 to 30% more volume and pressure than the stock pump. I can tell on my gauge after installation, instead of the needle on the oil pressure gauge being in a center where it was before it’s about three-quarter now, I replaced the timing chain, the guides, the sprockets, and cam phasers. To me, it’s a no-brainer. You’re already in there, so go ahead and put this quality oil pump on there when you do the job.

Great upgrade from factory unit, oil pressure has increased around 18% since installation. Was an exact fit for a 2007 f-250. Would highly recommend for anyone replacing oil pump or doing a timing chain replacement.

Great quality and performance. Easy to install if you're already doing a timing chain replacement. Small cost for the piece of mind and reassurance youre getting adequate oil pressure to your new parts. Out performs original by far.

Melling oil pumps are renowned for their manufacturing quality and that is why I bought this unit. The high volume pump is exactly what was needed for my V8 Ford Fairmont Ghia. I highly recommend this product.

Exactly like OEM but twice the product of Ford part ,good oil pressure and shouldn’t fail like the crap put in from factory. Been building engines for 30 years and only use Melling pumps with no issues.

As is found everywhere on the internet, this pump and its bigger brother the mh360hv are a must if you are opening up a 5.4L 3V, even if you are swapping engines, just do the timing components and change the oil pump. I put this in a used engine i got from the local wrecker (long story) and it produced 65psi at starter speed of 200rpm the first time i tried it, on 10w30 rotella T (for a second break in). It made 75psi at idle and held that until engine was warmed up then dropped to about 65psi again. This pump is a must. I used melling timing kit 3391scc with the cast iron chain tensioners and so far no issues (only 3 weeks on this engine). A note of caution: if you are considering the 360hv it supposedly makes 20psi more than this version and i would be concerned of the chain guides breaking or wearing prematurely at that high of pressure.

Did a whole timing kit replacement (literally everything), oil pan and struts and added this oil pump in from the advice of a YouTube channel, fordteckmakuloco. This is a brand new 160k mile engine now with this pump. I mean holy cow it starts runs and cruises better, engine temp stays in the center and there is a strange silence as the vehicle is running... holy cow is all I have to say. This one is for the 5.4 3v engine and I was contemplating grabbing the 360hv over this one, after speaking with my boss ( also an aircraft mechanic) we both decided more volume is plenty. And to be fair I'm a believer.. but do yourself a favor and go watch that guys videos on YouTube for the walk through-it makes timing it a breeze and the tips for removing the oil pump were invaluable- seriously.I've worked on cars for years and stepped up to work on airplanes for the challenge but if youryoure undertaking this repair be prepared for a rough time with the ps pump.Oil pressures are absolutely stable, verified with my mechanical gauge and a digital real-time over the period of a 2 hour trip never dropped below 5 psi above factory spec. And for an extra 30 or 40 dollars over the oem replacement it's really a no brainer- stop researching and do the repair- after all the original pump is what caused all the vct and timing problem to begin with.
