This is a very nice ball. I use it for scrying and it seems to do the job, although I’ve only used it a couple of times. It is a little smaller than I thought, but that is on me… I did not read the dimensions. It is, however, very sturdy. The base is very nice, and it looks really pretty. The smaller size actually means it fits better on my altar that a larger one would. I wasn’t paying attention, yet I did myself a favor, anyhow. 😜 it is a very nice product, and I am extremely happy with my purchase.

While this crystal ball seems really cool for creative photos I would be very careful where you place it in your home while it's not being used (you could keep it in its bag while not in use!) I was messing around with it, taking photos outside then went to go inside and was holding it up against my chest and all the sudden felt a burning sensation! The ball must have magnified the suns rays and it burned a hole in my shirt! I couldn't believe it, I was only holding it there for just a moment! I wouldve much rather have contacted the maker of this item but I didn't find a way to do so I thought I'd leave a review! Just be careful with it! Very cool for photos but watch where you are placing it for a period of time! Maybe it's obvious that this may happen, but if not I just wanted others to know!

It's perfect and flawless, I could believe it's a quartz perfect ball. No bubbles and no internal distortions at all, I'm very impressed of this quality for this low price.

First thing first: GOOD LUCK NOT BURNING YOURSELF WITH THIS THING.Now that this is settled, this is an amazingly clear Crystal ball that can be used to take good pictures. While harder to hold than I anticipated and concentrate light in a much stronger burning beam of light than previous similar object I've owned, it is, as least, easy to use, and the crystal is free of any visible imperfections. It is not too heavy and easy to wash after or before use.If you are not using it, make sure the sunlight never touches it. A magnifying glass is amateur pyromania compared to this.

I have been into amateur photography for many years now and was very excited when my teenage son wanted a DSLR for his birthday this year. He has a very artistic flair to his photography and I thought a photography ball would be a great item to allow him some additional ways for expression. I attached some pictures that he took on his first day out with the new photography ball. The ball seems to be exceptional quality. It is very clear and does very nicely in shots. My ball came with a base, carrying bag and a cleaning cloth. This photography ball is outstanding and makes a great gift for any photographers in your life. My son loves his and I have been using it myself, so I will probably get a second one to keep in my photography bag. Really, for this price, it is crazy not to pick one up.***********************************************************************************************************************************************I rely on reviews when I make purchases so I put a lot of time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal and my business. I selected this crystal ball on a whim with the intention of using it for creative photography. This is my first crystal ball and so far I am very pleased with it, especially considering the price I paid for it.I will start by saying that if you are planning to buy a ball like this one, keep in mind that these have some heft to them. There are different sizes available; choose the size you need, and plan accordingly. Some will find this particular ball unwieldy (80mm) while others will want an even bigger one.The product listing states that this ball is flawless. Mine has no scratches, no chips and no bubbles or impurities that can be seen with the naked eye. Looking through it very carefully, I did not find any swirls either, which was a concern I had before I got it because such distortions could ruin any pictures I took. Now, it does distort slightly around the edges when taking pictures through it, but that is to be expected, especially when the depth of field is too shallow. My ball came with everything specified in the listing – a carrying pouch, a small stand, and a cleaning cloth.I would really only change one thing. It would have been nice to have a tripod mount for this ball in the package, even if it drove the price up a bit. Oddly enough, most of the reasonable tripod mounts for balls like this actually cost more than the ball itself. For the price (just shy of $16 as I write this), I am very happy with this ball. It works as a creative photography tool and it is clean and clear enough to be an attractive display item. I have not worked with other crystal balls like this so I have no basis of comparison; that said, this is a very affordable and well-made ball that is definitely worth its asking price.

Not for the faint of heart but once you figure out how to flip the ball image right side up, you can get some pretty fun results. Or, you can leave the image upside down if it makes for an interesting picture. You'll need Photoshop to manipulate the ball (or some other good photo editing program). Since I work in photoshop a lot, it didn't take me too long to figure out how to flip the ball. The videos on you tube are a nightmare to follow, (especially the long one with what seems like 500 steps). The shorter video is better, but will not get you the results you want. Combine the ideas of the two videos and you'll be flipping balls like a mad hatter.aaaBall is best used with a camera with no sensor light or flash so DSLR is harder to use than just a plain pocket camera or your phone. Picture shown was done with a DSLR and it didn't pick up the sensor light, so I call it a lucky shot. Using a macro setting on any camera if you have it is helpful. All you can really do is play with it and be very glad we live in a digital age instead of film. It's good entertainment for not a lot of money. As for this particular ball, it's clear, minus any bubbles in the glass and seems pretty high quality for the price.
