I tried fidgeting with this myself-honestly it’s like a VERY TOUGH SLINKIE-only it doesn’t do tricks. We thought it was pretty much useless…could do damage if you threw it at someone. Frustrating-not calming…

Fun! But a little hard for my 10 year old to squish. Spring is tight; definitely more for someone older.

I like to just squish this when my hands are unoccupied. It actually is kind of soothing and helps. I actually got it for my daughter, though, and she keeps it in her backpack at school. She pulls it out if she really needs something to fidget with. It doesn't really pinch you (I was worried about that). It's also a LOT tighter than I thought it was- it's tightly coiled, it's not really like a Slinky.
