Bought this for a beginning karate class. Have used plastic cups in baseball and had a few crack from a good shot to the baby makers so I felt this might be a better option. Jock holds the cup in place and there is good coverage and not a lot of shifting around (someone said that the cup was aluminum but I don't think so because of the weight), but It is not very sweat resistant as the material reminds me of an ACE bandage for the waistband and the supporter feels pretty thick. Things were pretty soaked down there after one sparring session. Think I will need to change to a different type of supporter or maybe try wearing this over a compression short.

Although this is metal it is made from brittle cast aluminum. I got a large and it was way too wide between my legs so I tried to squeeze it thinner just a little, it cracked into shards. I don't think that a normal sparring kick or punch would damage it, but I am unhappy with it just the same. It would be a better product if it was made from rolled aluminum. Oh well not what I was looking for.
