For 01xterra xe on a kenwood 505bt double din. Had no mounting issues and the product came with no broken parts. Recommend using longer screws for mounting the plate onto the product as this mounts between radio bracket and the receiver.

Used this on 1999 Nissan frontier and it actually came out perfect, Hides a big ugly gap above and below the radio that makes the installation look incomplete. Just took me a little while to figure out exactly how it attaches.Tip: make sure the lip on the back sides of this metra trim piece sit to the side of the radio frame not on top of it (see pic). It will kind of click into place if you set it right.

If you think you want to buy this for an early 2000's Nissan Xterra, don't bother. All this does is cover a very small amount of space left open when installing a double din radio. It came broke and after glueing it 3 time and it still not fitting right, I gave up. Just not worth the money, time, or frustration.

Side plastic brackets didn't fit over my factory brackets, there was quite a large gap which the short stock screws could not fit. Plastic is very fragile.

recieved unit as described. however the mounting holes had to be made larger and tapered to fit. also, the plastic is VERY THING AND FLIMSY so be careful. all in all it does its job but it is cheaply made.

I bought this to install with my Pioneer FHX-720BT 2-DIN CD Receiver. Had an appointment with Best Buy Geek Squad to install my radio, but unfortunately, they were out of stock on this kit. So my brilliant idea was to find it through Amazon and get overnight delivery so that I could install as scheduled. Tracking was very tricky and by 6pm the night before I needed to know that I was still getting it, but the Amazon rep didn't seem to be able to confirm that I was getting it that night, which was frustrating. Instead, he offered to send me a "replacement" which of course would come later, which wasn't helping me with my next day scheduled installation. Turns out that the original did come late in the p.m. (8 or 9 EST), and I also got the replacement the next day. Bottom line: Amazon has their ways of getting your deliveries to you, not all are equally trackable, but in this case, I didn't have a reason to worry.Regarding the actual kit, I see how it was necessary to fill the space between the radio and the cavity (don't install without it). It is flimsy, which some reviewers complained about, but if it's installed professionally and you're not touching it again, it's not an issue. My radio looks really good, and unless you know, you can't tell there is/was ever a gap.

Purchased this to install a double din Pioneer stereo in our 2003 Nissan Xterra SE 4X4. It was a little flimsy but having read all of the reviews before hand I knew to be careful opening the package. Once installed, looks like it grew there.

This thing is flimsy and serves no point. I bought this adapter and all iIt really is useful, for is as a faceplate but the holes don't line up to bolt it on and when u put it in the dash there are still gaps. At least it was only $11 and free shipping

Well this flimsy piece of plastic does its job to cover the edge around my head unit but does not fit very well. The tabs on the side do not fit flush with the side of my head unit. It does not come with screws and the tabs come off VERY easily. I had to glue them on to keep them from falling off during installation. I was not able to even screw the tabs to the side of my unit due to having to use the factory brackets. So I ended up having to put a couple drops of glue around the edge of my head unit and laying this on there to hold it on until I could get the unit installed. It looks good when its installed but honestly its a cheap piece of crap as the picture shows.

Feels a flimsy, but once it is installed it looks great from way away and you have no idea that the material is so thin.
