I've been using Metra since 1998 (I'm a certified installer and not new to this by any means), and is the only manufacturer I use for dash kits. This unit is garbage. The mounting tabs "click" into place with no way to secure the single din radio to the kit other than 2 TINY plastic tabs that don't hold anything. Every time I touch my $1k radio it moves around inside the kit! The kit to the dash is fine, but the kit assembly is trash.

The matte finish is sloppy. It was rubbed by something before it dried and yet it was still shipped out. How? Quality control is obviously non-existant. See photo.

I ended up picking up this Metra kit for the deck below. The deck causes some issues where I had to dremel this kit to make it fit but overall this kit was an exact fit for my 2010 Tundra. The flat/matte black is a little scrap-prone so I might end up replacing with the glossy gray/black but overall a nice and clean install.

This fits over-sized double-din stereos. I purchased a 7" Android-based unit (carjoyingdotcom) and when it arrived, I couldn't get my Scosche trim piece to fit - the hole was too small, stereo too big. I tried to trim it, but it looked horrible. I contacted Scosche to see if they had any trim kits for over-sized units - they said no. After asking a question here about 7" units, and having someone confirm that it would fit, I gambled, and ordered it.My head unit has a manufacturer's provide dimension of 178mm wide by 100mm tall. I would bet it's probably even a little bigger than that. Needless to say, this Metra kit has an opening that is exactly the size I needed. In fact, I had to trim the clip pieces along the edge of the hole (simply snapped off using pliers) to make it fit. I tossed all the other parts that came with the kit.I'm thrilled I didn't have to have something custom made - which probably would have cost more than the stereo itself.I'm knocking this a star since my trim seems to have a bow in it along the top. Compared to other customer provided photos, I think it's warped somehow. Since I've already cut and trimmed the piece I don't think I can swap it out. I may try to heat it and bend it to get straight lines. But, even if it stays this way, it's WAY better than what I had with the Scoshe kit.

has held my double din pioneer unit in without a glitch. Very steady proudct and hasn't shown any signs of wear. I just wish I would have ordered the piano black kit as it would have fit the color scheme of the interior better. I would recommend this to anyone needing a double din kit.

Bought this to install my Pioneer in-dash receiver in my 2007 Tundra. It fits perfectly, has a matte finish that resembles the Tundra dashboard. You cannot tell this is an after-market product.
